How does it feel to travel alone?

The train started moving

My mind was clear. My heart was free When I was going to a foreign country for the first time alone, an unknown adventure unfolded in front of me. For the first time, a feeling of freedom surrounds my heart. It's not a pleasure at all. It is a mixture of excitement, fear, joy, curiosity, courage and many emotions that are thrown into a ball. When someone travels alone, ask someone about their first-time experience and probably will. They will tell you the same thing. It's not easy to describe how it feels but I can tell you that it looks great.
How does it feel to travel alone?

1. You are the master of your time

Looks like stopping for a cup of coffee? Yes, you can, when you travel alone. Looks like you might be visiting a store that interests you? Yes, please. Best of all, you do not need to ask for permission or wait for someone when you immerse yourself in something you love. You do it. Loneliness gives you the freedom to plan your journey according to your freedom. No more people telling you where to go, no more waking up and out the door. It's just you and whatever you like.

2. Meet the locals

Living on your own provides a great opportunity to mix with the locals. By getting to know these locals, you will find hidden places of travel that are known only to locals or some good dining places that offer really good food at local prices. I once met a taxi driver who recommended me one of the best boat noodles in Bangkok! To this day, the taste of this boat noodle still holds in my mind. Even if you do not understand their language, guessing the whole conversation on your own will surprise you.

You. You learn that being alone is not bad

There will be moments when you do not speak to a single soul for hours while traveling alone. You are just lost in your thoughts and, surprisingly, you find it calm. You want to think for yourself by thinking about your life and the lives of those around you. This is meditation. You just spend time, you see life. Just imagine it now and you can feel that strange pain in your heart

4.. Meet new friends on the go
When you're traveling with a group of friends on a daily basis, it's very difficult to meet other travelers. But if you are traveling alone, the possibilities are quite open. A simple "hi" can get you a new temporary travel partner or some roadside stories. When you are lonely, you start to get closer and do not panic, and there are many people who are traveling alone like you. They may sometimes feel lonely like you and are more than happy to share drinks with a fellow traveler.
5. Threefold your confidence

Navigating the map. An interruption with the taxi driver. Get better rates for your room. Asking for directions When you travel alone you will be doing all this work yourself. Eventually, it gets easier and you'll build more confidence in yourself. You will notice that things are a lot smoother and you start to see a different side of yourself. You start to believe that you can do it yourself.
6. Strengthen the brain
When you go out of your comfort zone to break the path of the stomach, you get to tell some interesting stories. Whether it's spending a night under the stars, playing soccer with a group of foreigners on the beach or getting lost in a village in the middle, these stories will follow you throughout your life. When you travel alone, you become more humble, generous, and respectful. You know, more often than not, Jenny's smile goes a long way. A simple smile can give you a lot of gratitude
